I am a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a retired Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. I graduted magna cum laude from Seattle University in 1983 and was Lead Articles Editor for Law Review.
I am admitted to practice in California and Washington (inactive in WA). I'm also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the Court of Military Appeals, U.S. Claims Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, various U.S. District Courts and all Courts in California. I have served as a judge pro tem and court appointed arbitrator.
I have tried cases in U.S. Courts and California State Courts and many administrative tribunals, both federal and state. I have apeared before federal and state licensing and disciplinary boards on behalf of merchant marine seamen; health care professionals including MD's; Real estate agents and brokers; and Yacht Brokers.
I have successfully handled administrative appeals and apeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and various California Courts of appeal.
